Mehmed: Fetihler Sultanı 38. Bölüm Özeti:

Mehmed, ordusunu büyük taarruza hazırlarken saldırıyı erkene alma kararı alır. Plan doğrultusunda içeriden kapıları açma görevi Satılmış’a verilmiştir. Çandarlı, Zağanos ve Kurtçu, surları zayıflatmak için son düzenlemeleri yaparken, Osmanlı askerleri tarihe geçecek bir hamleye girişir. Zağanos ve Bahadır’ın yönettiği operasyonla Osmanlı gemileri, büyük bir özveriyle karadan yürütülerek Haliç’e indirilir. İşte tarihin dönüm noktalarından biri gerçekleşmiş, Konstantiniyye’nin fethinin en önemli adımlarından biri atılmıştır. Bu strateji, Osmanlı’nın kudretini simgelerken Bizans’ın savunmasını büyük bir açmaza sürükleyecektir. Osmanlı’nın toprağındaki gemileri Haliç’e indirerek Bizans’ın iç savunma hattını yaran Mehmed, büyük bir askeri deha sergilemiştir. Haliç’te Osmanlı kadırgalarını gören Konstantinos şimdi ne yapacak?

Bizans’ta ise büyük bir kaos hüküm sürmektedir. Konstantinos, savunmayı güçlendirmeye çalışırken, içerideki bölünmeler giderek derinleşir. Plethon, Roma’dan yardım beklerken, Notaras Osmanlı’ya karşı nasıl bir savunma hattı oluşturulacağını tartışmaktadır. Gennadius’un kışkırttığı isyan giderek büyürken, Konstantinos bu iç tehditle nasıl başa çıkacak? Bizans, Osmanlı ile savaşırken içeriden mi çökecek?

Ancak tüm dengeleri değiştirecek gelişme, Francesco ve Koko’nun aldığı bir haberle yaşanır: Demetrios ölmemiştir! Bu beklenmedik gelişme, Bizans saflarında büyük bir yankı uyandırırken, Konstantinos ihanetten şüphelenerek Notaras’ı idam etmek ister. Plethon ise bunun büyük bir isyana yol açacağını söyleyerek onu durdurur. Ama bu ihanet söylentisi Bizans içinde kimlerin saf değiştirmesine neden olacak?

Fetih için geri sayım başlarken, Osmanlı askerleri surların önünde son emri beklemektedir. Satılmış kapıları açabilecek mi? Gennadius’un kışkırttığı isyan büyüyerek Bizans savunmasını zayıflatacak mı, yoksa Konstantinos içerideki karışıklığı bastırarak son bir direniş mi sergileyecek?
