When you WITNESS someone going into VF, first check that a lead has not fallen off before delivering a pre-cordial thump. Ask me how I know....

I spent my first week in the cath lab and I saw my first VF arrest. They arrested 10 times, but the outcome was positive after delivering multiple shocks and delivering drugs.

Hi Dr. Campbell! 😃 I'm a huge fan of your work and I really do enjoy the information u provide in your videos. I wanted to ask if there is a video concerning bicarbonate buffer system and it's relation to respiratory system and kidney?

What if we somehow decrease the heart rate like giving selective beta blockers or
Amiodarone??
Will these medications decrease the risk of V fib??

I have mitral regurgitation and an ectopic heart beat and sometimes get a stabbing pain in my chest. I don’t know what that is though. I’ve had a blip of atrial fibrillation, I rang the doctor about it and was put on hold for an hour then they hung up. A week ago, it felt like the bottom bit of my heart was beating more intense than the top. Kinda like it was panicking and it felt out of rhythm, it then corrected itself. If you could give any for of explanation, it would be very much appreciated!
