Bull terrier is being bred in many lines where some will actually become even more bizarre than they are!

This YouTube video is WRONG on so bull baiting and dog fighting was banned under the 1835 cruelty of animals act .... these dogs DO NOT have breathing difficulties as they are not flat faced, they were mixed between a Olde English Bulldog and the now extinct White Terrier, with Dalmation ... Around 1935 A man called James Hink from the Midland's breed what is now the English Bull Terrier, they were in fact breed as a gentleman's dog. They are loving, sensitive, intelligent, confident and fun dogs. My English Bull Terrier loves playing equally with other dogs and humans, doesn't have a bad bone in his body and does not engage with aggressive dogs....Actually this a very clean bloodline that doesn't really have any known defects. Owners of EBT's are passionate about their dog bloodline and where he/she came from....

Funny how people keep referring to the one image of an EBT from 1915 when explaining why they think it's a bad dog breed, despite the fact that 'Lord Gladiator, ' the first of the "egg-heads, " was photographed only two years after the one from 1915. Meaning that the egg-head trait has been around from very early on.

All the egg-head really is is an extra large nose bridge that was specifically bred to avoid breathing difficulties during dog fights, as a *stop* and drop in the nose usually means that a dog would have to hold its breath when biting onto something. To say that the EBT has breathing difficulties because of this one trait is just LOL.

This video is absolute BS. The modern bull terrier's head DOES NOT CAUSE BREATHING DIFFICULTIES. The strong, stocky body DOES NOT CAUSE BONE PROBLEMS. Utterly ridiculous. The English Bull Terrier is quite a healthy breed overall. They are delightful dogs with a clownish, fun-loving temperament. They are a joy to live with. This video is a great example of what a cesspool of lies the internet can be. I know, I have bred and shown several bull terrier AKC champions.

The English Bull Terrier does not suffer from breathing problems, this is a fallacy! It was bred by James Hinks to be a loyal and fearless companion, not a pit fighting dog. Due to its skull and Jaw structure the English Bull Terrier has a more powerful bite force than the American Pit Bull Terrier, but their confident, sweet and generally gentle nature makes it unlikely they will start trouble, though they are very capable of ending it. Though they were bred from fighting dog's, they are unlike any other Bull Terrier breed.
