We stayed in a cabin in Idyllwild, CA over Spring Break this year and Strawberry Creek was in our front yard. We like to get big sticks and help free up the river so it can "breathe" better. We clear leaves, sticks, rocks and anything else to help open up the river flow. Spoiler alert: Dad falls down when crossing the creek. Idyllwild California is located in the San Jacinto mountains at an altitude of around 5300 feet. We were nestled between Strawberry Creek and Tahquitz Creek, which provided lots of exploring.
