I have original Medicare AND I qualify for Medical (California) Do I need an advantage plan or supplement plan? Am I covered with the original Medicare A and B and prescription D? Agent trying to convince me to change to advantage plan. I’m so confused.

Picking the right company is the challenge that I can't figure out (PA).

In Minnesota here.. original medicare with low end supplements.. ie vision, dental, hearing, rx etc.. is between $500.00 and $600.00 per month. That's $6000.00 a year. Just can't afford that. Haven't selected anything yet.. but, the network in the 9 County metro area here is so good for advantage plans.. everyone I know is using advantage plans and likes them. I don't understand.

I am still not understanding how you can say original medicare is better. My mom pays nearly $200 for part D and over $100 for having a dental procedure done. Her monthly charge is over $600/month. If average SS check is $1658, that is nearly 30% and a housing cost of near $1000 doesn't leave much. Where do you get those numbers? Lucky she has some retirement savings and works part time.

what's the problem with the Network. I don't have MY DOCTOR . So silly
