A terrible idea. Companies need to have the freedom to figure out, and decide how to run their business. Coercing them to take into account the wishes of parties that don't even exist (like "the" society, or the planet) in that process is bad and dangerous. There is another problem, at the epistemological level: the long term is impacted by ideas (of people) that are not yet created, and thus the long term is inherently unpredictable. Using a prediction anyway as an argument to adjust all plans towards is simple false (and coercive again too)
