In today’s episode of Figuring Out, we have Dr. Sanjeev Chopra in conversation with Raj Shamani. He is an Ex IAS, Historian, and the Founder of Valley of Words Literature and Arts. This episode will give you insights into the history of India and many unheard stories of India.

In this episode, we talked about how big India was, how it has evolved over the years, the history of India, how states were divided, why it is said that UP controls politics, why most of our neighboring countries are not growing prosperous and how Singapore’s economy grew. We then talked about why India will overtake China in the future and what challenges China is facing. We also talked about what are our soft powers, and which are the most vulnerable areas.

Towards the end, we talked about why certain names of states and cities have changed, how our economy has evolved, which are the countries that have less corruption, and how much is the salary of an IAS who is an agriculture secretary in India. For such insightful episodes, subscribe to our channel.

Humble request to you is to let the speaker complete what he or she is saying. Let them say what they want to and then speak. This is such a basic, not saying rudely but please focus on this aspect.

Why do we need one language.? It can never happen in a country like India... Lets appreciate that. Every language has a community behind it. Yes, Hindi is widely spoken but other languages thriving alongside only makes us rich and dense with our diversity. Value the community behind each language over its popularity.

Shamani - this is one of the best vlogs from your stable. It is Educative, Informative & Knowledgable.
Only on the issue of Chinese poverty vis a vis its villages one begs to disagree, as one has extensively travelled to the interiors of China. The amount of development and prosperity in the smaller towns and villages vis a vis infrastructure, transportation, availability of daily needs of clothes-food-housing far outstrips India.
The 3 decades of over 10% growth of Chinese economy has had tremendous trickle down effect in its developmental growth.
