I don't think u should stat the topics of NLP this topic is really hard
u need to understand HMM, CRF, MEMM, BACKWARDFORWARD, EM, VITERBI ALGORITHM also deep learning
In some of the topics like PLSA and LDA it can be very hard U also need to know reverse KLdivergence, variational Interference, fortunately, u can use a library like gensium to do it for u
