I drove down those steps, in a 1963 2 wheel drive 40 foot school bus, full of teenagers, towing a boat, missing a wheel, blindfolded.

I drove a stock jeep wrangler down this 35 years ago all you have to do is use some common sense

It is entirely possible, and even recommended to stay to the upper side of the steps along the embankment and let your suspension handle the work to get past this obstacle. Choosing the line on the downhill side looks easier, but puts your vehicle at a severe risk of rolling over and down the mountain sideways. It amazes me that people will take a perfectly capable vehicle up there and then choose what appears to be the smoothest line, only to totally forget they are supposed to be off-roading, not trying to take the most comfortable option. Walk the section yourself first and pick a good line, then stick with it. I have done that road in a 2 wheel drive 1964 International pickup without ever getting in a position to doubt my line selection.

Other than the steps, it’s and easy road. Just don’t go fast into a switchback.

I would recommend not standing on the "oh sh*t" side of the jeep
