Hunter Biden pleads not guilty after plea deal falls apart

A plea agreement between federal prosecutors and Hunter Biden fell apart Wednesday after the judge refused to sign off on a deal that would have seen the president's son enter guilty pleas to two misdemeanor tax charges and enter a diversion program in lieu of pleading guilty to a felony gun possession count. After the deal collapsed, Hunter Biden entered a not guilty plea. Chief Washington correspondent Major Garrett anchored CBS News' special report.

Hunter’s lawyers called the clerk impersonating a lawyer that filed the whistle blower’s testimony and hunter’s lawyer impersonated the lawyer that filed the testimony saying he wanted to take back the motion

This is absolutely despicable since the spoiled brat from birth didn’t get his way then he’s going to plead, not guilty. Well, unfortunately or fortunately they have proof to put them away for a very long time if they wanted to. He’s guilty everybody knows it, and the buck stops here no more hiding, and even the worst is yet to come.

It was very poor judgment to strut around publicly at the White House the day the "deal" was announced. This will go down as one of the most foolish "celebrating too early" moments in history. Knowing it was a sweetheart deal of epic proportions, Hunter should have laid low instead of flaunting so publicly.

I think the attorneys were trying to pull a fast one and ensure that all investigations of Hunter ended with this little sweetheart deal. Thank God the judge saw through that.
