I lost my girlfriend, March 3rd. 2024. I've been struggling for a month now with slow onset of depression. I realized my nicely routine life of twelve years was turned upside down in a matter of three weeks.

My girlfriend and I were countries apart but that didn't stop us from loving and caring about each other. I lost a Parton me that had color to it. Creativity. Passion. She brought about the best of me with a smile, witty remark or even a tease and jab. She loved to rile me up and ruffle my feathers, I hated that. But I miss it now. I miss how she'd pick me up with such ease whenever I got knocked down.

In her absence I smiled less, talked less, shut myself to much of external stimuli. I use to be talkative. Now I'm quiet. I use to be outgoing, I've become an introvert. I replay memories like a carousel. I'm struggling.
