Lael is absolutely one of the most genuine and friendly people on this planet. My wife and I are so lucky and honored to have met and ridden with her on her record breaking ride. She is an inspiration and an incredible athlete.

I rode with Lael on day 13 in France and she had my home made flapjacks, she was fast we were riding at 30km I managed 50 km riding with her but for the last 25 km I was drafting not bad for 68 years She was so nice I got a hug and a selfie.

The coolest thing is how much she smiled while on that trip.

Seeing Lael unexpectedly appear on screen is like being greeted by a Labrador when you've had a bad day.
Absolutely love her 💖

What makes Lael’s story so unique is that she doesn’t sell the cycling-is-suffering trope. Cycling is fun and welcoming in Lael’s world and that’s just so cool. But make no mistake, she’s a fierce competitor.

The pictures of the ride are so beautiful. Makes me hope Lael creates a book.

Great interview - thanks so much. I was lucky to ride for a few miles on her wheel along the foggy Northern California Coast while listening to her stories. A stunning personality. Now adding super glue to my ride kit.

Lael is my bicycling hero! I absolutely love her. She recommended reading “Coffee First Then The World “ by Jenny Graham, who held the world record before Lael’s epic ride. It’s a great book and although it was a different route with a far less level of support, I think it’s worth pointing out that they are both extraordinary women in a space historically dominated by men. More power to them for their amazing strength and endurance not to mention the fact that they are inspiring a younger generation of female cyclists. I followed Lael’s podcast throughout and really appreciate this interview which covers details and more. . Thanks for posting this!

As someone who grew up as an athlete, and had many many experiences with all sorts of people.. I simply don't think that there is anyone that is more humble, talented and genuine than Lael.I've heard her speak several times, and it has always been a pleasure and something that I wanted to last longer. She is without a doubt, a once in a lifetime person/athlete. THANK YOU for sharing this video; it was amazing !

Great interview w/Lael, I was lucky that Lael’s round the world journey took her right past my home so I was able to get out and ride with her and many other locals on her trip around the world. She is amazing and so inspirational and always smiling. 😊

I was lucky enough to meet Lael during her record attempt (she rode something like less than one kilometer from my home in France) and to ride a few kilometers with her.
Not only she is a great athlete but she appears to be a sunny person, always smiling.

I saw that Lael got a QOM in my secteur (60km south of Paris) ... but she is the only woman recorded as having done it ! It's on a horribly dangerous dual carriageway main road (N20) where I have never ever seen a bike ! Glad she survived it !
