This is a pure masterpiece, my father bought this album when it came out and I still have the original vinyl. One of the first prog albums in my life.

As long as I have loved and listened to prog, the very first Rick Wakeman LP I ever purchased was last year, when I bought The Red Planet. Man, what a great work of art. I must have listened to that record for about three months straight. Then I bought The Six Wives and a few more of his early stuff and did the exact same thing with those records. Thanks for recognizing this LP on its 50th anniversary, the man is truly a genius. His contributions to Yes and to Prog in general are legendary.

I had this album back in the day. Great stuff! Wakeman has an excellent sense of humor and is a superb keyboard player. Also, the Strawbs are one of those quintessential British bands . Thanks for the post.

Hey Scott. Hope the weather with you is not too cold and the snow not too deep.
This was one of my first albums, and I still have my original. I heard it during music class at high school ( we were a poor school and couldn't afford musical instruments, so we played music on the record player). It was my introduction to prog rock and the everlasting journey into a strange and twisted land.

Someone i bound to have it .. but the tracks are 'out of Queenly order' cos' the vinyl didn't allow for it to be done any different. And, it is one of the greatest albums of all time.. done deal... Great tribute, Scott..

Great Video ! It was spending £4K vinyl don't come cheap ! The Brown Label A&M Records 6 Wives of Henry VIII should be on the Red Translucent Vinyl., I think ? One the six wives album the is Scotty Trad Ar Song "Charlie is my Darling" (Rick as the Young Cavalier ?) also some Landschiftliche Kulturpflege in Westflalen-Lippe, Musik auf historischen Instrumental, Johann Sebastiian Bach, Toccata d-moll BWV 565 and if you want good vocals. Rick Wakeman Live on King Bis. Six Wives Henry VIii is great Live . Great Video ! £4K well spent !
