Charted at #4 on Billboard's Records Most Played by Disk Jockeys chart in June 1951. Although Guy Mitchell had the biggest hit with this song (charting at #2) this equally spirited recording by Vic Damone did very well too. One other version by Ray Anthony and His Orchestra charted at #28. Written by Bob Merrill. B-side is "My Life's Desire".

Ahhh much better than the horrendous flip side "My life's desire". I'm going through a stack of old 78's I can't play, so I'm looking up the titles here on Youtube. The Crew Cuts, Nat King Cole etc. I first listened to My life's desire, and gave it a -G score. But this upbeat ditty, now that's more my cup of tea or glass of Bourbon or... well, you get my point, right ! Yihaaa !

I heard Vic Damone the first time when I was eleven (1961) when my parents brought home a bunch of old 78 rpm records. This was a new kind of music to me, and I fFell in love with his voice right then. There are plenty of other performers I've heard over the years, but it's Vic Damone for me. sigh
