How to clean plastic Chairs (Always outdoors)

These chairs are inexpensive, practical and functional but hard to clean. This is how it is done easily and effectively. Important: wash the chair afterward (but not on your lawn) with soap and water and dry thoroughly. If this works for you and you have saved some money, be sure to DONATE some of the money saved. My neighbor just gave me 2 plastic chairs and I sprayed it with an all purpose cleaner and didn't make a dent. Running out tomorrow to get some bleach! Thanks for the info!

My chair looked like that, I tried to wash it off with soap and a little bleach, but it didn't work, so I took a knife and started scraping. It looks like new, but now I want to paint my white chair. Thanks for showing all of the effort you put into cleaning up a workable chair.

Good work 👍, instead of bleach or chlorine … I use couple stuff, foam shaving for men, use gloves & rub all the chair w it … wait 1/2 - hour rinse it then mix baking soda w vinegar & hydrogen peroxide same thing spray it all over wait another hour then it’s alll clean or you can use Awesome buy it from dollar store it works good as well … if not using the chairs just simply cover them w any sheets & away from Sun ☀️, good luck 👍

Excellent, it really works, I first scrubbed the plastic table with liquid soap using a Scotch Brite scrubber then used mild bleaching liquid, let it for 15 mts and then rinsed it with water, very good result . Thank you very much.. From India.

This works pretty well! I usually just use some plastic spray paint and after a cleaning add another coat. You can change the color each year if you want, although that takes more coats.

Can’t believe how much bleach I have wasted pouring it on and that fact I have never thought off putting it in a spray bottle! Complete game changer! Wish I’d watched this video before spending 30mins scrubbing my table and chairs ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Simply use old school SOS (brand)steel wool pads and some elbow grease and rinse with water. Plastic oxidizes in the sun and actually damages the plastic surface. We need to physically remove this oxidation (I tried ScotchBrite - too much work) to get down to the clear plastic below. If desired, apply car wax to help protect the plastic. It's really a good idea to store them out of direct sun when not using but these are simply cheap chairs (nice, but cheap) and I just leave them sit outside anyway and clean them when needed. :)
