The thing about Hadrian's Wall is that despite it's poor construction, it still did what it's main purpose was; to act as a physical barrier to slow and hinder crossing.

Like, it was to slow attackers, but also make it harder to come over and loot by making it very difficult to get your sway back easily.
It also acted as a way to force traders to go to set locations for inspections, tariffs, ect.

I have to be honest here. I clicked on this to leave it in the background. I soon learned how much of a mistake that was, this is a masterpiece of not just gaming but film in general, it’s a wonderful story that I hope to share.
