What is the little white Cap (you totally missed in the box) for? What does it do? You attach it to the bottom of the hose inside the bottle for stability, and to keep the hose close to the bottom of the jug.

The pump has holes in the bottom so I think it leaks the excess water from there? After stopping the use. I have another model in my van, and it leaks water from the bottom too. Really annoying, have to dry the table all the time. Otherwise I love the pump.
