I think I am still looking for a repeatable sweater. l like top down but keep moving on to a different pattern since I get bored easily . I am a sewist and see the value of a basic with variations. Jacqueline did a great job with the book- it's beautiful.

I have not made any clothes except hats, and can't really read a patter so i just like to follow along in the videos. I bought a Sentro machine so i was hoping to use up my HUGE stash of yarn a little more quickly. Thanks for sharing your reviews.

I love all versions of "hitchhiker" shawls. They can be worn in many different ways and are easily customizable. Although I've knit many different shawls that are considered "advanced, " it is always nice to have a simple project for TV knitting or "to go" knitting when you are waiting for an appointment. Some of my doctors are full of questions for me when they walk in the exam room and find me knitting, or when others see me standing in line at the DMV, working on a simple project. 😁 Hitchhiker is an easy to memorize pattern that can be made in an weight and they make wonderful gifts as they are so easy to complete.

For me it’s the Ranunculus sweater. I’ve made 4 so far and am planning a fifth one to knit later on this month. It looks great in all kinds of weights and fibers and can be modified for the colder months as well.

I have knot a couple of Magpie Tendencies. Its a fun pattern and is flexiblele. I have made different sizes depending on the fit I want and the yarn I have.

I tend to make socks, I have modified a 3 X1 rib with modified garter edge heel gusset. It's my go to sock, and fingerless mitts, a mashing of several different patterns that fir well.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Flax and Flax Light by Tin Can Knits is my go to sweater pattern. I’ve knit it once as written, once with no purl panel, once as garter on the body and stockinette sleeves, once with self striping sock yarn for sleeves, once for my baby niece...

I've knit mostly socks for family, usually plain Vanilla patterns, no favorite as they've all been the same. I'm trying to build a "wardrobe " for myself, a few versatile pieces. I've knit most of my life, sewn as well, family's grown, it's my turn perhaps. Looks as though this book is the perfect answer for me. Thank you for the review and bringing it to our attention.

My grandmother's mitten pattern. She made me mittens, once a mom I made my children mittens. Then for my grandchildren and just made four pairs for my greatgrand children. It's all they will wear to play in the snow. Oh and a pair for the little 7 year old who Lives next door. He saw my great grandson's and he wanted a pair too!

I haven't knit garments over and over, but I have knit toe up socks with a difference dozens and dozens of times. So often I have it memorized and can modify, by adding stitch patterns, switching up the heel flap a little (I slip the purls instead of the knits, because, less purling, and I like the look of the fabric better too). Great review of the book! I hope the book also talks about making the collar closer to the neck, that's one of the things I don't like about Jacqueline's patterns and am not confident enough to play without a pattern. It gets cold here in Minnesota and I need that wool right up around my neck!

My go-to is actually a book: Favorite Mittens by Robin Hansen. I’ve made about 1/3 of those mittens. More often than knot, I tweak Chipman’s Check Wristers pattern into being fingerless gloves. 🧶

I'm new to knitting, so the only garments I've made are hats. I've returned to a basic cabled hat pattern several times, because I can switch the cable easily to mix it up.

Aside from the two at a time toe up sock pattern that I use for almost all my socks, there are 2 sweaters I’ve made more than once. Kate Davies Carbeth just seems to work perfectly for me and my all time favorite is a Norah Gaughan cabled tunic that was in the 8/1989 Vogue Knitting magazine.

The pattern I always go back to is a basic boyfriend hat pattern that I only have in print — it’s for a simple ribbed hat that I have made many times! I hope to find a similar pattern for a sweater that I can go back to again and again. And, as a new-ish sewer, I’m hoping to find a dress pattern too! That’s exactly why I’m excited about Embody (and this giveaway)!

The Reunion Cardigan, by Brienne Moody, has become a staple in my wardrobe. It's fun and versatile and knits up very quickly. I think it can be good for all genders and easily accessorized with pockets, elbow patches, or whatever is clever. I'm about to start my 3rd one.

I took a class from Jacqueline through Knit Stars. It was really amazing how well thought out and step by step her patterns are. She truly wants you to feel happy with anything you knit or sew. It was really transformational. As someone who has knit and sewn garments all my life, I was still blown away by her approach. I knit the Weekday Raglan by Ann Budd over and over.

A simple ribbed sock is something that I have knit many times.
