This Countach imo still legendary as ever.

I totally agree it's definitely a cynical money grab and for £2m I would've expected a completely new car not just a rebodied Aventador. But hey they've sold em all so they've definitely got a customer base that has more money than sense.🤣🤣

Same don't care about the motivation, happy they did it. Looks ace. A good homage

Know that road so well The Tushy law was my local for many years and i loved blasting up those roads in my 993 s with the sound bouncing of the hills ... Looks great.

The new Countach is one of my favorite performance cars right now. They captured the essence of the original and added a new sleekness. Absolutely beautiful. 👍👍🔥🔥🔥 I always thought the original, although iconic, was an eyesore. The new slick interpretation is, in my opinion, perfect. ❤

With the wave of so many Aventador versions over the last decade, I'm not all that excited about this car as, for me, it still radiates Aventador vibes. But for what it's worth, this modern Countach is gold! A future classic, hopefully

Such a shame they can’t do pop-up headlamps anymore.

Problem is every uses the same formerly extreme design language. The original Countach was unlike anything else. This is more or less like every other exotic car.

best line ever, 'I had one, until I was 48'

The should have made a manual version if it is a Countach. Imagine that. Cool car bro.

Lamborghini should have given it a wing option aswell like the original countach they should have made all the retro Countach wheels aswell also they should have made it have manual only

Haha that bit with the German bikers was TV gold! That's what I like about 5th gear, it stays down to Earth and relatable. I've met German bikers, they're really nice usually and if I were driving a trick Lambo and met some I'd totally strike up a conversation and let them check out the car! Meanwhile that other car show with gear in it's name is racing a Space Shuttle or whatever. Also cool, but a little further away removed from my reality.

This Countach is based on Sian, and the Sian is based on the Aventador SVJ. It's the same thing as what Lamborghini had done before with the 2006 Miura Concept where it was basically a Murcielago LP640 underneath.

There are some proper design nods in there. The front view is really reminiscent of Countach / Diablo, the straightish bonnet panel gaps and lights, terminator lines of the body panels. The hexagonal wheel arches are a welcome departure from the norm a la Countach original. The rear end looks a bit predictable for a 2023 supercar though. Let us see some differential, or expose some suspension or something a bit mad. That'd do the trick.
