How to Acid with DIGITONE - 303 Sound Design Tutorial

It always starts with making the music and in this case I got carried away searching for the perfect acid sound inside the digitone. That involved doing some research into how the 303 actually works under the hood and it turns out its not so simple. We can choose to emulate some of the relationships between the circuits but not all of them at once. For the video I created a Macro control that raises the Filter Frequency, while pushing the resonance, cranking the filter envelope and shortening the filter envelope Decay. It got me closer to the sound than I ever had before, though in comparison with the 303, its still not quite as chirpy and the resonance on the 303 is just too special to accurately recreate. That aside, I think this patch we made in the video is a really good starting place for exploring the acid sound and the value of learning macro controls in Digitone is really helpful.

A good way to make a square wave is with a 2 op stack, with the modulator at 2 and the carrier at 1, and add a little bit of modulation and a little bit of feedback. You can make a saw wave the same way with a 1:1 ratio, and it helps to look at it on a scope

13:12 : Hi ! Really cool soundesign ^^ I would definitely use such a sound.
in your video your TD3 has an unexpected behavior (something I can't do with most of my clone) on one of the last slide (I think it's like between step 10 and 12 maybe ?), and I would really like to know why it does this.
Basically it's like a super short slide, it's not supposed to do that (but it's cool). The RE303 of one of my friend does this in midi if you overlap the 2 notes very slightly, but it does a normal slide if you overlap them more.
You drive it with external midi right ?
Could you investigate or screenshot me the midi file ?
