I love her skin tone! So beautiful. <3

women have to work twice as hard, push themselves further & harder just to make small progress. But for women of color, you have to multiply that difficulty by 10.

Her pointing out the significance of little girls of color seeing a representation of the “Olivia Popes of the world” before they were “Olivia pope” is so interesting and true. Coco is a great character who’s path resembles many others, and is just as valid (for the black community especially) to acknowledge.

She is STUNNING. Not just physically, either, although she's absolutely breathtaking in that regard, obviously. She's also, like her character, very articulate and intelligent and honest. I love her, and I admire the hell out of her character, too.

They are both so well articulated & beautiful! And the chemistry between them with those hand holding in the end.. I'm quite jealous ;D!!!

For everyone below having something to say about her having straight hair in this interview, it's proving to her point. She may simply like the hairstyle and yet here everyone else goes trying to force her into something she hasn't chosen for herself. She may very well be natural and be doing a protective style or she may simply like her hair that way. She is a smart and beautiful woman who is cognizant of eurocentric beauty ideals, white supremacy, and its relation to her and other women of colour, so she most likely isn't wearing her hair straight because she's attempting to force herself into that eurocentric beauty ideal. SHE'S CHOOSING WHAT SHE WANTS AND THE REST OF YOU LOT NEED TO GET OVER IT AND STOP POLICING A WOMAN'S BODY.

That hand holding at the end proves he is in love with her. I don't blame him, I love her too.

I loved Coco in Season 1. I didn't at first but as the show went on I began to understand where she was coming from and her desire just to "survive." She's a strong character in her own right. Oh, and she's drop dead gorgeous.

She's so beautiful. I hate how in the show she was shamed for being dark skinned.

One thing about beauty tho. I dont think black women understand how damn envious most of us white women are of them. At least me anyway. They have the prettiest skin, age really well, great builds, more personality, and get to wear all the fun hairstyles and wigs without being judged for it. I just feel like they really get to be themselves. After this interview though, guess I'm wrong about that last part. Will watch and learn. :)

Three episodes left of the second season to watch and I am already for a season three. Coco, Robertson's character and Lionel are my favorite characters on this show. There is such great writing here. It needs more love. Seriously, if you like character driven shows, watch Dear White People.
