I was brought up in an extremely religious home and was taught that if I sin I would forever be separated from God. So I lived in constant fear that I would mess up and ultimately never get to “heaven”. At the age of 14 I begged to die before I did something that would cause the separation. Then as a young adult I was praying one day seeking repentance for any sin I may have committed that would result in never returning to god. As I sat there pouring my heart out begging to not be out of his presence, I heard a voice that said, “you never left”. It struck me so hard tears came pouring down my face as I knew in my heart it was true. Today I don’t follow any organised religion. I follow my passion and live a life of freedom knowing that spirit cannot be separate as we are god expressed.❤
