You look so great together!
What a stunning day to go out for a ride, and the tack is also beautiful.

I generally don’t like bits in horses mouths, because of pain compliance… but you seem to have a really great relationship with your horse and I’m happy for you both.

How do you stay focused enough to keep your heels down while trotting and posting? That’s something I’m struggling with during my barrel lesson

i might do this but for the horse i ride i try to warm up her takeoffs by telling her to trot it takes a second to get her to actually trot so i just trot for like 30 seconds walk for 1 min trot for 30 seconds walk for 1 min then i keep doing that till she takes off as soon as i ask her to and when she does that i let her walk almost immediately then when its time to run she usually takes off immediately when i ask her to

Geez maybe its cause i use a all purpose saddle but thats a high cantle
