Pengasas Bay is one of the most beautiful cities i've seen! Such attention to details and well thought builds in different areas. Thank you for creating such a masterpiece and looking forward for the new expansions as there is plenty to build still 😊

As excited I as I am for the next city, I would absolutely love to see this one "finished". No reason you have to focus solely one one city for the channel; many other creators jump back and forth, attracting different fans they might not have otherwise.

It would be amazing to see a sci-fi based city in the next series rather than the usual grid patterns or go the opposite direction, like building the not so well planned cities like we see in developing countries (such as mine😜)

I just recently started this series and binged almost all of it. Yes, the game does have bugs, but just like you did with 529 tiles, Bye Bye Homeless would have saved this city along with a few other things. Even the fix to just deploy free busses out of town would have helped.

1. You did such a great job zoning, but I don't think you got as deep into the weeds as the game intends. Literally every small town has an elementary and high school within it's "district"/county limits in the US. The episode you did with the gated community overlooking the airport, that district got all of the essential services zoned for that district and installed in that district.

Local services are meant to be local and bigger services are meant to support the smaller infrastructure in place below it. Dropping 3 elementary schools into the outskirt of downtown made the numbers look good in the tabs, but it didn't service the districts that needed them. High school the same...etc.

2. I knew early in the series when you starting "whack a mole" on the smoke stacks you were going to hit industry shortfalls. If you took your meticulous approach to how you zoned residential, and applied that to industrial, in regards to layering and sizing, you would have got the services you needed.

Are the smoke stacks ugly and unappealing? Yes. Are they a necessary evil? Yes. Would we all love the whole world to be electric powered with better performance than fossil fuels? Yes. Is it a reality? No.

3. It's a game but it's also a simulation.

Yes it would be great if we could all get a game and just play how we would like, but at the end of the day the game for you is not the game for me and it's not the game for the next guy. The core of the franchise has always been about the simulation experience. CS2 is great in that they dug in even deeper than in CS and we got more things to play with and micro manage.

I've loved watching your videos and I think you're an amazing content creator and talent. I honestly hope you come back as I feel your style is refreshing. Your style is so different than mine. I'm not a detailer like you are. I've marveled at how you right brain then left brain seamlessly. I'm very symmetrical in my designs and you show that quality as well, but you also have an artistic side I just completely lack, and most do to your level.

I wouldn't enjoy playing a game that focused heavily on the artistic elements and less on the really fine details of the simulation. I'd like it to be even more "spreadsheet" oriented than it already is, but that wouldn't appeal to the masses either.

This game is a good base for everybody, you just have to tweak it to fit your style.

4. Mods. This is not a call for you to go crazy with mods. I'm not a heavy modder myself either. That said, I think if you were to pick and choose a few key QOL things, it wouldn't change the vanilla feel to your style or even city. We all know you can play 10K plants in a straight line. Maybe you enjoy the hours it takes to get it done. With the time commitments you mentioned in your last review video after Economy 2.0, why are you not using something like Advanced Line Tool?

Sure it's great to stand on a hill and say, if it's not completely vanilla, I don't want to use it because others can't, but when it starts taxing your QOL and becomes less fun and more of a job because you're not doing it, then maybe it's time for a small change.

I run 4 mods, 2 of which, bye bye homeless and 529 tiles I run because they are essential in fixing the game. Advanced line tool. It allows me to do something already available in the game just faster. Traffic, it allows me to do something kind of in the game but not fully flushed out to the level of detail I personally would want.

Now do I have other mods installed? Yes, as do you. I have find it installed, but have never used it to place an object. I have used it to search for what items come in what tiles sizes. This is something you could use in an "offline save" and just not use in your series. I have Cim Census, because again I like the nerdy numbers. I have Toggle Overlays, because of the bright flashing lights. I have lumina so I can play a game that looks like photo mode. I have show text trends, again more details.

Nothing I have minus traffic, is not already in the game, functionally. Look how many mods they have already turned into features you enjoy, like being able to move assets already in the game.

No I'm not saying you need move it or anarchy...etc. I'm saying it's worth taking the time to see what's out there, even if some of it is only for "offline/off broadcast" use, just to see deeper into your city.

--

I know a lot of that could have come across as negative, but I hope it wasn't taken that way. I really hope you come back and start producing again. Your passion for the game is clear. I would consider Pengasas Bay a resounding success. You beat traffic, you destroyed architecture. You decimated mass transit. You took a few L's to zoning....etc, but those are going to happen.

Your first build in CS2 took you to 50 episodes and almost 15K subs, many of which would love to have you back.

Hopefully you can find a way to make this game fun for you, so that you can make content fun for us.

Considering the bugs Cs, you’ve done great. It’s a handsome city. As I’ve said before, I’m a country boy, but I could live in this city. Thanks for helping me look forward to Tuesdays.

Can`t wait for the last builds of Pengasas Bay CS, you have done an awesome job on it, & so pretty at night.

Perfect city 🎉 I want to see city tour first person drive😊

Lovely city! For future builds I like to see two things. A really old part of town and a canal district would be really nice to see. can’t want to see the cinematics afterwards!

It seems transportation system is really efficient, and the city looks beautiful ❤

Nice recap! I think for the next city I think you should incorporate some mods. Nothing to crazy, but the road tool mod would be a good one imo

In the next city it would be great to incorporate some of the new French, German and potentially other additional packs

Great city. 🎉 Bummer about the population bug. I'm surprised someone in the CS community hasn't worked it out. I enjoy starting cities from the beginning. I haven't ever reached over 100k population before I start a new one. 😅

it'd be cool to do more PT (Public Transport) in the next city, with a bigger focus on metros, trains, buses and trams.

Would love to see an old town downtown type district. Maybe something like a mountain small town with row homes and brick buildings.

Population issue is most likely due to the homeless bug (this is why deleting parks is a strategy). Should be fixed in the most recent update. You have to have at least one public transit option with an outside connection and making it free helps a bunch. Also takes a little while to work, so you will have to let the simulation run for a bit.

I’ve loved watching you build this city. It’s a shame that it’s probably coming to an end, but it’s got to be done. The game just doesn’t seem to support cities above a certain size very well. I can’t wait to see what you do next.

That's wild for your tax rate for the Residential and move in rate low!!!
I have my taxes set up like this and it does pretty well the only people complaining are the well-educated+ lol!
Uneducated: 4%
Poor Educated: 5%
Educated: 6%
Well Educated: 12%
Highly Educated: 13%
But everyone tends to become wealthy after they move into the city, and I have a -2 on High taxes lol!!

Please upload your city as a game save to CS2 mods so others can enjoy your work and play in this magnificent city. It is truly spectacular.🏆🏆🏆

As public transport gets better, traffic on the roads does decrease a lot. Your farms and mines appear to be in balances, no giant surpluses, so probably not great exlort surpluss. Schools are in good shape. Deleting the parks might help the homeless leave (they hold jobs, don't pay taxes and don't appear in the population figures. Free transport on busses helps sometimes too. Tax on offices above 9 % will kill denand.

I had a city reach 135k and it started was the cause. Since I ejected the homeless it it did turn around and I ended over 200k for simulation speed....was crawling pretty bad. I have since started a new city, over 140 k and climbing nicely.

Based on the apparent size of your mines and farms you are, as the production tab shows just in balancee.

Good luck, you are a great detailer with fun builds.
