I'm going to have to disagree with your line about plastic being difficult to recycle. it's that no one has the infrastructure for Mass recycling certain things are more recyclable and are more profitable and that's what people design their recycling centers around, they then ship out the less profitable stuff to cheaper countries and repeat the process, but there's only so far down the line you can do that.

Why not build electricity plants that burn landfill waste and converts that methane gas into electricity So that then it doesn't matter what people throw away .
