Tourism industry stakeholders (that's people who work in the industry, tourists and anyone else who is related to the travel and tourism industry) MUST have the environmental impacts of tourism at the forefront of their minds.... otherwise there will be no travel and tourism industry for future generations to enjoy. Why do we destroy the very thing that we are travelling to see? With a little bit of effort we can work together to protect and preserve the environment. We can minimise the negative environmental impacts of tourism and maximise the positive environmental impacts of tourism. Lets do this!

Has COVID made you more aware of your impacts on the environment when you travel?

I am a tour guide and fellow teacher at European University of Rome. I teach Tourism and Territory in Italy, which is quite crowded year-long. I strive to create new destinations studying territories which wouldn’t be inserted in guidebooks and social medias, if people began to visit new and unknown destinations, this will lead to a better distribution of people, more rational resources exploitation and overall, a much mote rewarding experience for all! absolutely correct what you have mention in this video. developing tourism mean not only the huge infrastructure facilities and consuming natural resource. As a responsible tourist person we need to proactive to overcome this type of issues when ever its possible.
