initial impressions without actually using it, what in the hell was this?

Got one of these at wally world to test out. Works great. I have done expensive steaks, cheap marinating steaks, pork ribs. and pork chops so far. The unit can be a little noisy some times but for the price, I am more than ok with it. The results are awesome! So far I sear on a cast iron pan but plan to bbq sear or torch sear in better weather. Delicious !!!!
