Fantastic. I truly believe that FSD and robotaxis will be like smartphones were. All the hundreds of millions of people who used to say "why on earth would I want to carry a phone with me all the time, will say the same thing about FSD. "I like driving myself, I would never trust be using it all the time. New normal coming fast.

Topic suggestion: How do HW4 Tesla drivers help speed adoption of v12 beta video training for HW4? By running FSD 11 beta, or by turning off driver assistance and being really good drivers? See where I’m going with this? Thanks!

just a thought. tesla dont have to discount the ride and still win the robotaxi as customers may prefer entire vehicle to themselves than share with a driver

Re: FSD vs Waymo. LiDAR is a throwback to the original DARPA Challenge (which LiDAR “won”) when hi-res cameras weren’t available. Because of its lack of resolution (not needed on DARPA’s essentially off-road courses) LiDAR’s basically become a technological boat anchor that will forever keep those relying on it from success. However, I tend to side with Sandy M. on FLIR to compensate vision during atmospheric interferences.

Ark invest is wrong when they say Tesla will not let current FSD owners join their Robotaxi network. Elon said robotaxi will be like Airbnb. You rent out your home when you aren’t using it so why not rent out your car? They added the founder of Airbnb to their board of directors because he knows the ins and outs of setting up and running such a business.

Seems to me, V12 end-to-end AI for FSD means far more when it comes to the Tesla Bot. Elon said they simply dropped FSD into the robot and it just worked. Now imagine dropping V12 into the bot and seeing how quickly the robot will learn and evolve. Most are missing what V12 means for AI in general within Tesla. Especially the bot, which will come to market far sooner than anyone expects because of V12 advancements. When AI can learn on its own without code and tweak its own weights as a result, this will evolve at the speed of digital thought.

I know Tesla has written a no buy clause in their lease contracts, however I don’t think Tesla is sitting on used inventory. If and when FSD is approved they would stop selling the used vehicles at that time and use them for their network.
