Im completely removing my rack to replace it and I'm doing the cv axle n hub at the same time. Do you think I'll still have to pull off the upper control arm?

WOW, I just picked up a ford F150 and thought I would see what replacing the CV's would take. Compared to the old 1993 Isuzu I had, this is a much easier job! The Isuzu was 10 hours of work, this looks to be 2 to 3 hours.

OK STOOPIT QUESTION TIME,
UPPER CONTROL BALL JOINT WAS SPINNING SO I MELTED THE INSERT....
I CANT FIND THE 21MM NUT, ANYWHERE (W/O BALL JOINT, MINE IS MADE TO CONTROL ARE, SO IM LOOKIN AT A HUNDRED DOLLAR NUT!
CAN THE NUT BE USED W/O THE INSERT??
