The Best Way To Preserve Habaneros

I hope you enjoyed this video of us canning our habanero harvest from this years back yard garden! This year our garden has produced SO MANY peppers and these habaneros were SO HOT. I had been looking all over for the right preservation and canning recipes for all of our peppers and we found it!! I will list both of these recipes down below and the link to the book the "habanero gold" recipe came from!

Recipes Used:

Habanero Gold
1/3 Cup - Finely sliced dried apricots
3/4 Cup - White Vinegar
1/4 Cup - Finely Chopped Red Onion
1/4 Cup - Finely Chopped seeded habanero peppers
3 Cups - Granulated Sugar
1 Pouch 3 oz - liquid pectin

Also I would love to see an updated q&a, and not sure if you keep all the fan gifts that people give you. But maybe you could do a haul of all the things you’ve gotten over the years! I love yalls videos!

You asked how to get rid of the foaming. For the amount you just made, add about a tbsp of butter. I learned this trick from the Amish videos. It really worked.

Put a 1/2 teaspoon of butter in your strawberry mixture while it is boiling and it will not foam. I do it all the time and it doesn't affect the taste

You know, one of my teachers from middle school grows peppers in his garden. He told me he grows jalapeños and serrano peppers.
