Did you know why an amp buzzes more when you play a G than an E?.
It’s because the voltage is almost perfectly at the frequency of E and G conflicts the key

Best D chord for me is play a C chord configuration and move up 2 frets. I think it’s a DSus9?

Its trully a good idea to put these chords into your repertoire although generally speaking, whether you should use certain inverted chords depends more on the context. More specifically it depends on what do you need from your bass line in your music composition . You should judge inversions according to how they connect with other chords on the time axis and you can't simply say an inverted chord sounds better than a non inverted one. I am not saying this with a bad intent. I am simply putting this up as a friendly reminder.

The A and the Am both have an E in the chord so it sounds much better with the E in the bass. And the D variations have an A in the chord. He is wrong.
