This is the type of Boat I love. Being a former Royal Marine, then 35 years in Ship Repair, Ships and Boats were a huge part of my life. When I retired, I bought a 40 year old Angling Boat, no modern rubbish for me. I call them " plastic Greenhouses". You have a beautiful Tug and part of History, long may you enjoy it.

Awesome little tug boat Bro
Can't beat a John deere for boats,
I've got a 80hp in my 9ton 34ft motorsailor and she pushes 6.5 @ 1500 rpm and plenty of push power against the current.
Just looking at your girl I can understand how you feel.
Enjoy, happy days Bro
Cheers from New Zealand.

Hi Mike after 40 years at see I love your enthusiasm mine has never left me ither my favourite little tug was 36ft6in had a v892 Detroit at 6:1reduction gear and a 5.6ft 4 blade prop in a full cortz nozel she was built for handling lash barges in tight areas and port docks and produced 5.6tone bollard pull ahead and5 tone astern, on 5he day I delivered her to the port of Newcastle Australia by sea from Melbourne the asked if she would be able to turn a floating ships drydock around in its berth for maintenance we sank the dock so I could push from the inside over the semisubmerged deck and with lines attached to a 40tone fork lift ashore we spun the dock in her own length in under an hour and 2days less than the previous time it was turned using winches the tug was called George Barney and her sister was the corio there best feature was twin becker rudders and a snub bow to the waterline allowing for a single aircraft tyre as bow fender, cheers, and I wish you every success,

That's the closest look to the original "Scuffy the Tugboat", Little Golden Books, circa late '40s/'50s. Treasured my copy.
