I got it running on windows 10 pro using dell inspiron 6th generation with intel hd graphics 520 following your method : ) sight for sore eyes.
This game has decided not to show anything on my gaming laptop for some reason with windows 11, I must be doing something wrong there.

I did everything except changing the value from 0 to 1 in the config file. Once I did bam it worked!

when I save the configuration file it says I don't have permission to open this file and I should ask the administrator or owner of the file for permission

I have a problem.. the game works until I minimize it and then there is sound but no video of gameplay.. any solution for that?

I did everything correctly in the video and the game runs but in Yuri's Revenge the new maps are missing even though it says update 1.001. Everything in the Skirmish section is defaulted.

Hi, firstly thanks for your help! I got the game running at the original resolution. Sadly when I try to increase it to 1920x1080 the game won't launch and juist shuts down without any message.
Any thoughts?

When I tried to open the file and change the zero to a one it didn't open up the same thing as you, it just opened up my notepad app. do I need some other program to open those files? I changed it and saved it in the notepad app but I seem to still be having the same issue.
