there is a soft mmr reset for everyone moving across from ow1 to ow2, every GM player i've seen has been placed in diamond, it's to get rid of boosted players and players who haven't played in a long time from keeping their rank and ruining high elo matches

(i have seen some 4.5/6 players place masters 2 but that makes sense, the reset seems to be about a 1000-500 sr decrease)

Xqc is pretty damn good at overwatch. Idk why he doesn't play it more. I think he could be a pro player if he keeps playing.

Biggest mistake Blizzard ever made was thinking they was bigger than XQC on twitch ... 25 mil they gave twitch ... and once they kicked XQC he still had more viewers than their whole league... watching memes... sat on his ass .. having fun with his FANS! Kudos!

This is actually something I’m so freaking glad blizz did. Cause so use to play overwatch nonstop and would grind competive like crazy with the homies.but I quit for more than over 2 years until overwatch 2 and I was terrified it was gonna place me with a bunch of higher rank players even though I haven’t played in so long. Glad blizz thought otherwise 💪. After 4 hours of trying to to get in. I disconnected 8 times.Also I was still placed with players I know be playing the game nonstop soooo fuck me 🗿

Im pretty sure most gm players ended up getting diamond or mid masters during placement but you climb back ultra quick. I placed diamond 3 but still finished my first night of ow2 gm 5.

Yes, Diamond 1 is the highest you can rank in placements.
