Nice presentation, thanks! I'm wondering about "blobs" such as large attachments (images, video, presentations etc.), which must make up a large part of those Exabytes. Does Gmail store and access those via the Spanner interface as well? If so, did Spanner already have the necessary support to store this huge amount of data in a way that balances reliability and cost, or did it have to be extended/tuned? Thanks!
