A lot of people seemed to forget that anime swordfighters were never the issue. It was Fire Emblem characters.
Literally no one said this about Sephiroth, and he is THE anime swordfighter.

Why do people get so upset about "another anime swordfighter" when they literally want an anime swordfighter but they just didn't get the one they wanted like it doesn't matter the weapon they use as long as they're fun and unique

I was initially really upset about Py/My’s inclusion, but I gave them a chance and found them really fun to play. And then like 2+ months later here I am totally in love with them and their game. As for Sora, I was glad he made it since so many wanted him. For the final reveal, I wasn’t really expecting anyone, just as long as it wasn’t stupid. Needless to say, it wasn’t stupid.

I remember buying Xenoblade 2 a while before P&M were announced for Smash and I was hyped as hell when they were announced

Swords are some most common weapons in games. I get why people complained about them, but smash is about iconic characters and the majority of those use swords.

Never played or watched or listened to Kingdom Hearts, only heard things about it. I hoped the character would be Master Chief since Halo is my favorite videogame series, it'd be pretty cool if he was the final character in Ultimate. I'm glad Sora made it in though, because a lot of people wanted him and they seem quite happy he made it!

As a guy who doesn’t really play RPG’s I didn’t think that pyra wasn’t going get in and I never gotten my character in smash but however I did got joker, terry, and kazuya in smash.I personally don’t care who got in, I happy that sakurai put in a lot of work and effort into the game.
