Broadband Service Providers who receive funding from the Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment (BEAD) program must attest that they have an operational cybersecurity risk management plan in place prior to offering service. State Broadband Offices must confirm that the plan complies with the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) cybersecurity framework. In this video we drill into the core components of the NIST framework and how service providers can implement those components to fully meet the NIST cybersecurity requirements needed to qualify for BEAD funding through their state.
