it takes significantly less time when you take into account fact that you no longer have to degrease and clean your chain and chainrings (all other work around drivetrain also gets cleaner and quicker)

Maybe I’m not doing it properly, but it’s about as quick as putting on wet lube from my experience. What takes time is the drying, I think. I usually put it on, and then have my pre-ride meal, while the wax stabilizes. I use a water based emulsion without any pressurizing of the can. (Good for the athmosphere too.)
