My name is Helen Redfern and I'm a writer of fiction and non-fiction and mentor for unconfident creatives.

I have an obsession for notebooks and credit my writing journal with helping me become a better writer, for giving me direction and focus as a writer and helping me work out what mental obstacles stand in my way - like procrastination, fear of success (or failure) and imposter syndrome.

I have a blog, a Substack newsletter called The Red Fern where I share behind the scenes thoughts about writing and pushing forward with my creative dreams and I'm very proud to have a membership club: The Confident Creative Club . Thanks for the video. I like the realistic every day life that you show. I am happy that I discovered your YouTube channel. I found it when doing a search for authors’ desks, writing, etc. The first video I watched was of your office makeover which led me to watch videos on your notebooks. That was so inspiring! I ordered a particular notebook that you use and I love it. Last fall while in France I even ordered a teaching session that you offered. Of course I subscribed to your channel.
