Forge-welding a Custom Jeweller's 'Raising Stake'

Using my Samuel Platt "Goliath" hammer to forge-weld a "Cleft" weld on a raising stake. The stake is made from three pieces. A stem, which is split to accept the cross, which has a central reservation of material drawn out into a tongue. the cross has a forge welded carbon steel face.
