Kırklareli is located in the northwest of Turkey, in the Thrace part of the Marmara Region. Bulgaria in the north; the Black Sea to the east; southeast and south of Tekirdağ (Saray, Çorlu, Muratlı and Hayrabolu); Edirne is located in the west, and Edirne in the south and southwest (Uzunköprü, Havsa and Lalapaşa districts). Its territory is surrounded by the Revze Stream Valley, which forms the border with Bulgaria from the north, the Black Sea from the east, the main valley of the Ergene River in the south, and the ridges that are the water section line of the Teke Stream, which joins the Ergene River from the west.

Kırklareli is a province with many ancient settlements due to its location throughout history. The first material documents about people in Kırklareli and its vicinity, which were understood to have been under water for a long time at the end of the ice age, give the characteristics of the Neolithic period. Thrace, which was named after the first settled tribes known later, was able to maintain its independence as a small kingdom or principality, partially or completely, until the middle of the Roman period, including Kırklareli.

In the province of Kırklareli, "food products and beverage manufacturing", "textile products manufacturing", "chemicals manufacturing" and "manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products" sectors stand out.

Among them, Turkey's first sugar factory Alpullu Şeker Fabrikası, Danone, Saray Gıda, ACT Tekstil, Akın Tekstil, Edip İplik, Konteks Mensucat, Tube Mercerized, Zorlu Linen, Gossard Tekstil, Eczacıbaşı İlaç, Kırklareli Cam, Trakya Cam, Trakya Otocam, Trakya Cement, Trakya Döküm, 2002 TEKSTİL, BURGAZ RAKI, AKMAYA AŞ and Anadolu Efes Pilsen are the first ones that come to mind. These facilities make great contributions to the economy of both the country and the province. A significant part of the manufactured products is exported.
