It’s even deeper… it says that Jesus stooped down and it’s my understanding that this is the origins of our word grace. The woman was given grace by God. Whatever Jesus wrote they all left and Jesus told the woman to go and sin no more. Jesus acknowledged she was guilty and in truth could have thrown a stone at her but chose grace.
