I’d love to hear what you think—are you still interested in Apple’s MR headset? Or, if you already have one, what’s been your experience? Let’s talk here.

Thank you so much for spending your time and money to cover this for us. 6 months is very generous. That said, the use cases are what we needed most - who cares if you can rearrange icons if there's nothing useful to do with them? Most reviewers get lost in irrelevant details and fail the big picture.

just started watching the video, but as a fellow Apple vision pro owner i wanted to leave a comment with my experience. I don't feel like i wasted my money because I knew I was buying into a niche early adopter product just so i could experience the new tech. That being said unless you have a use case for it, its worth just waiting for the next generation.

My use case has been as my everything screen, I use it when I want to watch youtube on a bigger screen, when I am editing, and most of all as my defacto work monitor because I find being in the headset focuses me, and helps reign in my ADHD.

I use mine everyday for musical composition. It is wonderful to be able to see my full orchestral score as I am composing. The clarity is just fabulous. I am really looking forward to the ultra-wide capability that just released in beta, once it arrives for the general population.

Just finished watching from my AVP and couldn't agree more! Comfort was my biggest problem until I picked up the Globular Cluster Halo strap. It's the best halo strap mounting design I've seen so far because it mounts as close to the body as possible reducing strain on the arms. Plus it leaves the strap attachment points free to pair it with the solo or dual loop bands. I use mine with the dual loop and it completely removes the weight of the device from my cheeks.

Thanks for your interesting review! Much appreciated. I am a happy owner of an Apple Vision Pro myself and I have to say I have not regretted it a single day! As Tim Cook said, it's for people who want tomorrow's technology at home today. It is amazing how perfect and magical it works. Regarding comfort, I highly recommend getting one of these extra headstraps (e.g., Annapro) and removing the light seal if you don't need full immersion. The field of view seems larger and nothing touches my face. The AVP basically hovers in front of my face and for many uses, it is the perfect fit for me.

Vision Pro is a good proof of concept and all but I am waiting for the next one that will be 40% lighter, 40% faster and 40% cheaper.

I own a Quest 3 and recently tested the Vision Pro. The only advantage of the Vision Pro is that it’s 30% sharper than the Quest 3, but it costs 600% more and has 10, 000% less content—because it literally doesn’t exist. The only thing you can do on the Vision Pro is watch videos, and do you know what the consultant told me after showing me a demo video on the Vision Pro when I asked where I could find more videos like that? “There aren’t any”—nowhere.

So basically, they’re trying to sell a device that can only show videos, and even those are censored and don’t exist, for a price six times higher than the Quest 3. It’s madness.

Comfort - Annapro A2 plus solo knit band and eBay battery holder that clips on the rear. For me, that was a game changer such that I can easily wear for many hours.

Well done for giving this headset a go in another video. The super widescreen is so incredibly impressive and I suspect this will bring more sales.

Putting my Quest 3 on now feels quite low quality, though this is where I game.

Your persona looks great! One of the most realistic ones so far.

My biggest worry about the Vision Pro was that not being fully in Apple's walled garden was going to get in the way of fully enjoying the headset.
I still look forward to trying out the headset someday but I might have to wait for Apple to make it more useful for non-Apple ecosystem users.

I do not regret buying my $5, 000 1 T Apple Vision Pro. I use it almost entirely for consuming Apple Plus videos and Prime Videos. I really want a lot of virtual travel experiences and the tiny amount currently available is little more than a tease. I want to be able to visit all the UNESCO world heritage sites virtually. And I want to have an extremely detailed virtual walk through art museums and natural history museums. The Dinosaur Encounter is spectacular but I want hundreds or thousands of such experiences—not just a couple to show as proof of concept. Wearing my Vision Pro more than about 20 minutes at a time hurts my head so I make short sessions of use, interspersed with periods of doing other things. For me, the biggest limitation right now is the limited amount of content.

I got into VR a bit over two years ago, and I've been following this account since, but today was special, for an unexpected reason. I also work with Ragnarok Online OST playing in the background. Made some really good friends in that game, some of which I met in real life too. It was an important part of my teenage years, one that I will never forget. I remember my favourite city: Ayothaya, hidden gem. You brought much needed joy to this stranger's evening 😊 thank you and have a nice day!

I still use it daily primarly for gaming (GeForce NOW) and 3D movies (Disney+). After the official release of the ultra-wide screen I will probably also use it for work.
Using the globular cluster headstrap, the comfort is no issue.

I like hearing about everything VR related. I could sleep peacefully, listening to stuff like this.😊
Keep it up, Cas. 👍🏾

I found the third-party Annapro head strap made a huge difference. It does the same job as your velcro straps but without having to fiddle with positioning.
