I like to use both but I am nowhere near good enough at technical analysis, basically a beginner. Got burned bad in the market today (lost 11% of my margin account on a dumb trade because I ignored the technicals and let my expectations control me). So I am going to spend the next few days focusing on charting, studying technicals, and maybe taking a swing trade here and there until I get back over the pdt rule.

JUst profit-taking because if you look at the sell volume the past 3 days sell volume was very low. No big institution sell-off.

Technicals work for trading because professional traders and trading algos use to make moves. They work by default. MS and GS are not typical money centre banks, they are investment banks and Morgan Stanley in particular focuses on the filthy rich. I have a huge position in MS and a good size one in GS. Problem is everyone just thinks Banks are Banks and lumps them all together. They received upgrades today so hopefully they will make big moves on the rebound. Great Video yet again.

Made good money on a $UAL short today and day traded the win. Crossing my fingers and holding $ALLY into earnings for a short trade. Probably going to close my position in $PENN tomorrow when it breaks $70 after cost averaging it down to $67. $DKNG holding $45 today and bouncing nicely after hours is nice. I trimmed for a small loss at $48 but I will take that wash sale if it starts heading back up. $60 before year's end without a doubt.
