Data centers are located in the Pacific northwest because of large amounts of electricity required for their operations. These facilities are using power that used to be sold to aluminum smelters.

I like the "necessity" of these big infrastructures which are used by parents to communicate with their teenager in the room just beside ... what a wonderful world .

Beam it to space using SkyCool panels.

Firstly, for everyone saying Microsoft will melt the ice caps, I doubt data centers will even make a tiny addition to the global heat issue. In fact, their heat is going into the atmosphere anyway. However, putting the entire data center underwater seems incredibly expensive when you can just pump the seawater onto land for heat exchangers. The corrosion issues and potential for POLLUTING the sea is big.

It blows my mind that all the Google data centers, campuses, and other assets, are paid for by advertising, right? Am I missing something? :O

How is heating up the ocean better for environment?

Most if not all the video was discussing the cooling of systems. But in the end you are drawing electricity to power the servers. Where is that power coming from? The source of that power is much bigger factor to climate change than cooling of the systems and is it causing an equal ratio of damage through the means of power production.

seems extremely shortsighted to heat up the ocean and icy regions.
