A Streetcar Named Desire, directed by Benedict Andrews, was filmed live on stage at London’s Young Vic theatre by National Theatre Live in 2014.

It’s streaming for free from 7pm UK time on Thursday 21 May. Available until 7pm UK time on Thursday 28 May 2020.

this was supposedly a very good production but this really does not seem like a play that should be done in the round on a revolving stage - it detracts from the intensity of the acting and the script. It's distracting enough in just this video - Can't imagine how distracting it must've been seeing it live

what I will call Ben is miscast. God you see the vulnerabilities of film celebrities when exposed to a great text like this. Was this an acting exercise after 1 day of rehearsal or what?
