Rev 3:10 and John 17:15 — The Force of Keep From

This video demonstrates that the force of tereo ek (keep from) is the same in John 17:15 and Rev. 3:10 but that the contexts of the two deliverances are very different. In John 17:15 the believer is kept from the Evil One, in other words, he is kept out of the Evil One, that is, he is kept from joining the world IN the Evil One during the present evil age. In Revelation 3:10 the believer is kept out of the time of trial that comes upon the whole world when the present evil age comes to an end.

Fear thou not: for I am with thee; be not dismayed: for I am thy God; I will strengthen thee, yea, I will help thee, yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10

God Bless you brother Lee!

Those who use John 17 still have to figure out what Revelation 3:10 is about. This “contradiction” remains unsolved in their position - they are simply choosing the side of the equation that fits their view of PostTrib.

They might then say that We PreTribbers are doing the same - preferring the other half of the equation to support our views.

But Brother Lee has demonstrated the solution that reconciles both passages. There is no contradiction. Both are true. The context provides the answer. In their respective times and application.

PreTtib remains viable, and really the only solution.

Thank you Brother Lee! Eyes on Jesus! For those seeking a Savior that has actively been seeking YOU; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” Jesus did it all for us on Calvary, all we have to do is believe. Matthew 11:28 “Come unto me, all ye that LABOUR and are HEAVY LADEN, and I will give you REST. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find REST unto your souls. For my yoke is EASY, and my burden is LIGHT.” He made salvation easy. You can’t rest if you’re working for your salvation.
Psalms 34:8 “O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.”

Absolutely right, Lee. I usually bring up “softer” verses such as Rev 3:10 and 1 Thess 5:9 to prove the Pre-Trib Rapture…until I go for Rev 5:9 as my checkmate nuclear option—works every time. The Biblical view is clearly the dispensational view, so there must be a Pre-Trib Rapture of the Church! 🕊️

Since Jesus already suffered judgment on the cross, why would he make us go through judgement again in the tribulation? Wouldn't that make the crucifixion pointless? That solves it in my mind.

Such a comforting voice of reason. Praise Jesus. Lee, with regard to the devil getting permission, though he is the ruler of this world, can he go before God to accuse us, post cross? He can condemn us, to us, but does he still have the right to stand in God's presence? Isn't the devil's stench cleansed from the tabernacle in Heaven, by the one time perfect sacrifice of Christ, and His sinless blood? That question is somewhat answered for me in the Book of Hebrews, specifically chapters 7-10. Not sure if you will see this, but thank you in advance. : )
