We are finite beings in an infinite universe. But just incase you were wondering.

Romans and Greeks used to call all their important people Son of God. Living on Mt. Olympus made all them fit af and to us ground level hoomans those were superman beings. Like Dagestanis in the UFC today. So when the Romans had to unite their people it was a much sellable story to tell them that God has sent his son to save them.

Also back in a time before medicine and technology you needed manpower on your fields but every second child died and often the mother too. Men of influence would then marry several women for several children. This was also possible because in the wild west (or east) if you weren't associated with a rich family you were open game for everybody. Women would love to be Mr. Rich Landlord's n'th wife. This caused the rich to get richer and the poor guy meanwhile walked around with his Brazil nuts in his hand. There was then this system that attempted to fix this by, much like 21st century USA, implimenting upper limits. A system that said alright guys party's over each one of you can have MAX FOUR WIVES!!! And to make sure all these rules stuck you have to tell people GOD ordered it and you best listen or you gon' burnnnn in hell. My creator who made this infinite universe of which we can only observe 93 billion light years doesn't want me to go circle a rock in what is today Saud's Arabia that makes him about $12 billion a year.

Then some idiots caused the industrial revolution to happen. Modern medicine happened. Transistors happened. Integrated Circuits happened. Internet happened. Social media happened. Rules are good but many of these rules are no longer relevant.
