Engine Starts And Runs Then Dies GT40 Nautique

My symptoms have been extremely intermittent but the best way to repeate the symptom is by running the engine upto temperature for at leat 30 minutes and then let the engine sit (heat soak). Once I try to restart the engine it usual fires right up then after 20 seconds or so the engine will surge and die. I have a normal crank no start. Once the engine cools off everything is normal which had me convinced with an electrical problem. The issue was the low pressure fuel pump (PCM # RA080018). Get yourself a fuel pressure gage to verify your problem is a fuel pressure issue when you have intermittent issue like me.

Here's the most difficult problem to troubleshoot: this low pressure fuel pump is intermittent and only partially fails so its extremely hard to troubleshoot this problem. The best way to verify this is your problem is by having a fuel pressure gage on your fuel water separator while you are on the lake.
