Even though this isn't real life, the way that abed said "I'm devastated" made it seem like it came from a real life experience. I genuinely feel sorry for abed.

holy crap, not only is this one of the worst things Britta has done, but also to Abed, literally the first episode without Troy, Abed just lost his best friend and Britta does this to the guy. Britta is hands down the worst.

They changed Brittas character in season 1 she was really close to abed and cared about him like a older sister she even paid for his tuition fees

I think it's really interesting how this scene showcases Abed's character development. Abed is more bothered by the girl not actually being interested in him than he is bothered by the spoilers. Season 1 Abed wouldn't have reacted like this at all.

The man learned sign language just to talk to a girl he likes but then Britta happened. Efforts wasted and destroyed for friendship for like, $50 maybe.

In all fairness the deaf girl coulda said to abed "your friend paid me to spoil the books, pretend to look sad and we get paid"

Britta at her most sadistic. The rough part? She doesn't even recognize it in herself. She's clueless about how cruel she's capable of acting.

She rips his heart and tries to say she's helping him? You can see the pain in his eyes and she's just happy that she was right

the "I learned to say this in sign language" scene is some great acting by Danny.

Sometimes with nostalgia you gloss over things. This reminds me why Britta being the worst was a thing.

I think this script was written with Pierce in mind; but with Chevy Chase gone they shoehorned Britta into the script instead; and it worked well up until this ending which just is so out-of-character from Britta it's ridiculous.

What she did to Abed was incredibly cruel and over the line, and she should've had the social-awareness to *know* it; and she was a 'psyc' major obsessed with helping the group overcome their personal problems...granted she was comically inept at it but even so was empathetic and sincere. And her throwing around cash that way also really clashed with her established character too.

And, oh yeah, season 1 episode "Physical Education" Britta was on-board with trying to *help* Abed get a girlfriend! What the hell happened to her?!

The episode could have worked far better if the conflict was Britta trying to get Abed to express himself with regards to Troy's departure, or maybe after if the relationship fell apart organically, etc.; and Abed started using spoilers to lash out at her, that could of worked story-wise without tarnishing a good character. To the show's limited credit, it seemed like the writers realized their mistake and didn't have Britta stay this way.

This is the first episode since Troy left. Abed is only just starting to form a connection with someone...and Britta does that.

She really is the worst. This is something on the level of what Pierce did in the D&D episode.
